Group 1: Lui, Nurto, Ellison, Lidya, Suad, Amina Pera
I can be honest
I can trust you
It didn’t take long from the day we met
For us two
To see the light and get along
To build a bond that’s forever strong
Were family, our whole life long
I got you
Steppin to my homies yo
You better not try
Every single one of us is down to ride
You’re not slick nah, you’re not fly
Kick you to the curb
And dot your eye
Keepin it peaceful we always try
We’re not out here lookin for a fight
Me and my crew got something for you
One thing that’s true we so loyal
Group 2: Emma, Nurdiin, Umari, Osh, Sam, Zane, Naima
They got that loyalty don’t mess with me
Never let enemies get the best of me
Look for the light that’s the main key
Always stay loyal to my family
Instead of always hatin eat bacon not beef
Everyone is talking tell em please have a seat
I want my friends to be loyal to me
I want my friends to be loyal to me
You cant be rusty, cant be dusty
You need to listen, and just trust me
Your being faulty actin all salty
carful what you say you need to back up off me
stop being cocky, I’m way too saucey
you tryin to be bossy, but please don’t boss me
Were kings and queens so respect our royalty
Never try and fade me homeboy show me loyalty
I don’t want no beef
I don’t want that tea
Gettin kinda reckless
When your spillin that on me
I aint got no T-I-M-E for H-A-T-E
One thing that aint in question is my loyalty
Loyalty that’s what you get from me… all my
Loyalty that’s what you get from me
Eveningstar Macaw lives in a glorious Mayan city in the ninth century. When the king falls ill and dies, the city begins to crumble. An evil high priest, Great Skull Zero, orders the sacrifice of those who might become king, including Eveningstar’s beloved brother. Suspicious of the High Priest’s motives, Eveningstar attempts to save her brother, thus becoming an acknowledged enemy of the High Priest. Condemned to be thrown into the Well of Sacrifice, Eveningstar must find a way not only to save her own life but to rescue her family and her city from the tyrannical grasp of Great Skull Zero. Set against the vivid background of everyday life at the height of the Mayan golden age and illustrated with striking black-and-white paintings, Eveningstar’s candid, gripping, and not-for-the-faint-of-heart account of the last days of a great city will have readers at the edge of their seats. Afterword.
Okey Doke
Nate B and Tiffany Wilson
The Well of Sacrifice
VI:
We got choices to make right or wrong
Sometimes doing your own thing
Makes you strong
When the walls are closing in
Hope is gone
You may be on the outskirts
Don’t belong
B Sec:
But you don’t roll with the okey doke
Deep down you know
You’re here to fix what’s broken
Hook:
Even if it means you’ll do it all alone x2
VII:
Know the seeds that we’re planting
Soon will grow
And with each action you reap
What you sow
B Sec:
So please don’t fall the okey doke
And know we’re here to give each other hope
Hook:
Even if it means you’ll do it all alone x2
Nate B:
Think about all of the words you’re sayin
Every game out there ain’t worth playin
I only know from experience,
I made many mistakes if you’re curious
Follow your heart and do the right thing
Think about others don’t act selfishly
Step into the dark if you work for the light
All good things take sacrifice.
B Sec:
So please don’t fall the okey doke
And know we’re here to give each other hope
Hook:
Even if it means you’ll do it all alone x2
