Over five days, STYLE will take students on a journey from finding inspiration in a book, guiding them through literary analysis and reflection, facilitating a collaborative songwriting process, and culminating with recording students’ creations in a professional recording studio environment. The first 3 days of this program will be led by the STYLE team through 13 provided videos, with the classroom teach facilitating the provided lessons. Students will build a deeper personal and critical understanding of general music ideas and the given book through collaboration with their peers in this creative, project-based learning experience. Each class will work with professional songwriters and musicians, producers, and studio engineers to complete this impactful project. STYLE’s teaching team will be on hand at the school for the final 2 days of the program.
