MLK Assembly and more…
STYLE’s team will provide a program that is centered around the life and ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will use books in the classroom to create songs inspired by MLK and more. We will also prepare students to present their music onstage for an assembly at the school. It would be best to focus on 1 or 2 grade levels for this part. We present a speaker who will talk about their experience in the world in a way the students can connect. Speakers may include Maya Smith (UW professor) or others who have an intriguing story to tell. We will tie in music education with our discussions around MLK’s message.
We will build the number of sessions in the school specific for your needs.
